Dawn of the Dead
1978
George A. Romero

Mr. Romero hit a homerun with this Amazing gem! Trust me this is no hidden gem; it’s out there for all to immerse and adore. Set in a very different location to its predecessor, this second movie in the dead series of Romero’s has been modernized to a mall with those friendly, flesh-eating bags of bones following. Of course this movie to me had a lot more on character description and more focus on social decline than we saw in Night of the Living Dead. Surrounded by zombies ready to rip at your flesh and not knowing if any help will come; even grabbing cash from a bank inside the mall leads the characters to believe there is still a need for money.
With a cast of Ken Foree, Scott A Reiniger, David Emge, Gaylen Ross, it was sure to smash the doubt in Romero’s ability as a moviemaker. In true Romero tradition, a simple line makes a movie memorable, this time with, "when there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.".
This Movie at times, seems like more than just a horror/zombie movie, we see bonding between friends in a time of need, a romantic meal between lovers and of course those hard, if not maybe impossible, decisions that need to be made throughout this movie. Sure the effects are great, but what do you expect, when you have Savini working the SFX.

Chester’s mind was made up the first time he watched this movie and even now over 30 times later... this movie is not just cool, it’s SUPER COOL! Buy this movie! You will NOT REGRET IT!
